POKER PLAYER ALLIANCE -- PHILIPPINES

It has been brought up before during one of our discussions….and in the wake of the recent incident involving a poker room and its failure to pay the winners of the tournament it staged, it came back to our mind the idea of having the POKER PLAYER ALLIANCE – PHILIPPINES, a group that will promote, protect the interests of us -- the ever-growing number of poker players in the country.

We know that there are others who have this in mind, and we cannot claim to have it as our brainchild, but we, the KORPORASYON, are taking the initiative – and offering ourselves to do the arduous task – of pushing for the creation of such group.

We are starting this thread to get your opinion on this……

Maybe get in touch with the officers of the alliance that were formed before. see if they are still active. if they are, better to join
that than creating a new group and this dividing the small as it is circle than strengthening it.

yes, we're willing to join that group, if it will be activated...that i think would be easier that forming a new one

Yes he is the ONE! After I informed him of this latest unfortunate situation, he told me the Poker Players Association of the Philippines (PPAP) shall support the victims and assist in recovering their entitlements.

It is sad that we still have unscrupulous businessmen trying to take advantage of unsuspecting players within our small developing poker loving community tarnishing the image of the game we cherish and wish to develop to world-class standards.  The timing is bad, as the biggest poker event happening in the country is less than 2 months away.  We already have history of bad elections, we can not allow such incidents to hinder our way to becoming the best place to play poker in Asia.

maybe one goal can be to educate members on standard cardroom rules recognized internationally so that members won't have to put up with the LOW standards some of these cardrooms operate with
