wag ka maniwala sa survey, kasi ung mga company na gumagawa ng survey like ng sws(kung tama ako) nagpapabayad din sa mga tatakbo para maging famouso at no.1 sila sa survey para  kunwari maraming may gusto sa kanila.

Kasi nag withdraw na si Binay in support of Noynoy

ahhh kaya pala, kung merong binay sa choices malamang sya na lang din piliin ko. I hope Noynoy does iron out the Hacienda Luisita mess, baka maging saving grace pa nya kung paano nya i-handle tong issue na to at makumbinse nya ako na iboto sya sa 2010.

It looks to be a Aquino/Roxas president/vice president duo that will win. Only real challenger in the polls is Manny Villiar with Erap god helps us in a distant third. Villar has drastically cut the margin, even with this current hiccup in the senate, looks like he has the Billions and the machinery to overtake Noynoy.

But Mar Roxas looks to have VP all locked up. I dont know how Binay will close the gap, and I hope this is the last I hear of Loren Legarda challenging for the 2 highest offices in the Philippines. If I was gonna a pick a darkhorse to challenge it would be Edu, keep in mind if i was going to..haha

Guys, allow me to repost this article from a friend's FB account(copy paste)

If you are to board an airplane and made to choose a pilot, whom will you choose?
A. a person who has logged flight hours with an airplane
B. a person who has written parts of the flight manual
C. a person who only copy edited a few lines of the flight manual, but has the "morality" and good intentions not to crash the plane

Given the same choices for the next Philippine president, whom will you choose?

I seldom write lengthy essays, so please indulge me as I make my thoughts known on how I will choose the name to write on the ballot five months from now. I have made up my mind on a few things:

I will not vote for a candidate because of popularity and win-ability

I know us pinoys are an emotional bunch. We easily get convinced by theatrical stuff that politicians are trying to pull. All the more so if the candidate is popular or is being endorsed by a popular figure. Lito Lapid, Bong Revilla, Jinggoy Estrada and Jamby Madrigal in the senate are cases in point. We are even awed by a political ad where artistas follow a candidate holding a torch. Nothing in that ad translates to good governance to me.

And I’m just wondering, with our love for the underdog in the movies, why do we always vote for the candidate who is most likely to win? People! The election is not a horse race! I am not saying that we choose the underdog even if the candidate lacks merit. What I am saying is that winning the election is not the end in itself but is only the beginning, so we must choose the candidate with the best leadership qualities even if he/she is not likely to win.

I will not vote for a candidate due to lack of choice, nor choose the “lesser evil”

If I don’t have a choice, I would rather opt to leave a big X in my ballot than support a candidate who is not fit to lead. And just as white lies are still lies, the lesser evil is still evil and will definitely not make things better. I believe God will always provide a good candidate, and I thank Him for providing a very good choice in the current presidential candidate line up.

I will not vote for a candidate just because the candidate claims to be godly or moral

This is a very big reason why I will not vote for heads of churches trying to become state leaders and for politicians who use the demons of the current administration to prop themselves up.

I will not vote for a candidate with vested interests in business or who belongs to the old-rich clans

I have had enough of these guys. They are the ones who would only want to maintain the status quo, since it’s cozy for them. You cannot seriously think about change while these guys are around. What? Divest their interests in their business? Don’t be ridiculous.

I will vote for a candidate who has a very good track record of being a local executive, one who has clear evidence of the things he did, who has the heart for volunteerism and who can rally the people to do the same, one who is not scared of making enemies along the way for implementing laws that are good for the whole country.
Remember that the president is the Chief Executive, so no less than a person who had the experience of being an outstanding executive should be the one we choose. Heck, I would vote for a guy for president even if he is previously just a barangay captain, so long as he managed to set his barangay as the best barangay in the whole archipelago, provided jobs, better health care, and education for his constituents.
But I would not vote for a pure legislator, somebody who just crafts laws but does not have any idea how to implement them, and I will most certainly not vote for a legislator who did not author any law and is just claiming to be the moral choice of the people.

We should take time to think before we choose a candidate for president and vice president, for they will become the pilot and co-pilot of the Philippines for six years after the elections on May 2010. They will be the ones responsible in the take off, and safe landing of our country. The flight may not always be comfortable due to turbulence along the way, but what is important is that we arrive at our destination as an improved people and more hopeful for the future than when we left, on a spanking new first-world airport.
So whose name will I write in my ballot you ask? After reading the points I laid out above I think you may already know, and I hope that I may also have convinced you.

Go for Gordon-Fernando!

This is the biggest fallacy, being president is not the same as a pilot nor even a bus driver as the common analogy is being implanted in the minds of voters.  For those young ones, that was how Macoy laugh of the housewife during the campaign.
Our government is composed of executive, legislative and judiciary.  Under the presidency are gamut of departments, agencies, commissions, government corporations etc that requres the most best executives.  If you are good and qualified then you should be donating your time and running one of them BUT not running for the presidency.  WE DO NOT NEED A TOP EXECUTIVE TO RUN THE COUNTRY, PERIOD.  WE DO NOT EVEN NEED A GENIUS OR SKILLFUL PERSON to run the country.  If he exists he should be working for a good president.
Marcos was one of most brilliant if not the most brilliant, GMA was a good manager and maybe even a smart professor.  GMA micro manages the presidency and yet the Office of the Pres. spend the most on consultancy expenses.  GMA has the country's top business minds (headed by BobbyO, Macoy protege - we know the latter gets the best minds in his time by hook or by crook to serve him) performing fantastic financial engineering.  The country's national oil co. is now in prIvate hands (even Aramco surrendered), water utility, toll ways, top food/beverage Co., soon power distribution, mining and telecommunication even gaming and many more. Think Ashmore!
The GB team is not known to have clean records despite the 'performance', and we are not small population that Lee Kuan Yew-style dictatorship shall work.
FPJ would have been a good president.  Study Reagan's US presidency - he took down the iron curtain, he did not let the air controllers' hold him hostage - and he was not even a good actor.  Whoever is going to be a good president has to have unimpeachable good moral character first and foremost just like most of our humble parents.  He should be a person respected that can motivate us to go to war and die for country if deemed necessary - all others are futile.
